(Censored for partial male nudity. Nothing too scandalous, really)

So I've been spending several afternoons these last two months on life drawing sessions with models, in order to prepare myself for The Animation Workshop in Viborg, and get enough material to compose a portfolio for them.
One day I arrived too early to the drawing session so I started doodling this, and then became a more detailed drawing as I kept working on it during small breaks.
There are oh so many mistakes, like arms that are too long and elbows that wouldn't work in real life. He should also be "skinnier" and his ribs should stand more (this is post-infarction Ebers)
Still, I'm really satisfied with the shading, skin and hair details and his face in general. I don't think I'll include this in my portfolio as I think I have already too many Eberhardt pictures selected to go in... but still, what do you think? should I include it?

enjoy!
(to be scrapped later)

You might be right in the anatomical anomolies but honestly I don't think it matters too much, it's convincing and that what matters. But yes, nice work on the face and great modeling on the figure!

muy bueno, Talía, me gusta mucho el sombreado. El trazo de los abdominales está genial, y la cara es muy tuya :)

I would finish it off and draw the WHOLE figure before I put it in a portfolio. Full body sketches are more impressive.

I know, but I see so many wrong things on his limbs and pose than I don't really know how to continue him. I just can't find the right position for his legs...

:( It sounds like you don't think this is your best work. I hate to say it, but I do believe you can easily find stronger, better pieces for a portfolio.

I believe the same, my friend. I just posted this for pure curiosity to see people's thoughts of it.
I have much better pieces to be used in my portfolio, specially regarding life drawings. I'll see if I post some examples of it(with a watermark, as I hope the school I want to get in doesn't think I've been stealing work from the internet from some other artist... sounds weird, but I want to save any trouble concerning this)

No no a watermark is a good idea. I don't like to post artwork from school, either.

I don't like to post artwork at all, hahah

awwwwwwwwww my fav fatty doctor <3 somebody needs to get some excersise trololol. (inb4 Nic makes him do some excersise at 5am.)

I'm going to say include it, because it's so very different than anything I've ever seen from you before and yet I can undeniably identify your hand in its creation.
It's a really good example of your flexibility as an artist, and shows that your skills can be spread to multiple medias.

TL;DR: REALLY EFFING COOL. :D

Oh! And did you get in??? did you get to make the interview and exam?

and thank you. it really isn't the best picture I've done, the pose looks so weird and unnatural...

No lol I was a bit too late with the applications. BUT, I'm thinking of getting a Master there. Since the college I got into is going to give me more stuff in the Bachelor degree.

AND, I think you're wrong. The pose actually looks natural enough to look real. Plus, the face clearly has character but looks more animated :D
