Squeak squeak Harr Harr by Steampunk-Girl Squeak squeak Harr Harr by Steampunk-Girl
Crappy title X3

I hate how music influences me, specially classic music.
In my previous picture, I was listening to Mozart's "Lacrimosa" part of his Requiem. Here, I was inspired by Pachabel's "Canon" ( One of the most beautiful pieces ever created by Mankind *drool* ) I don't know but this music made me smile, even chuckle with merryment O_o weird... ( I just Bethoveen could see me, he would be laughing his a$$ off... :P ) Now I'm with Tchaikovsky's "Opening for 1812" Food for thought :)
I didn't ink this , and coloured directly in photoshop, due that I hadn't received Painter IX yet *gummble grummble* and I'm not fully satisfied with Jack's arms in general :P Pooh...
Well, enjoy! :)

I'm listening to "Lacrimosa" RIGHT NOW. :O

Also, this is great. You draw Aubrey and Maturin exceptionally well. And I love the poses!

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

"Dans le français, la classe!"

"Ahaw ahaw ahaw ahaw..."

I am picturing their laughter being thick with some kind of snobbish high class accent.

This is a great picture. Makes me wonder what their laughing at. Two gentlemen friends, having a grand old time.

Hehe, your username made me look at your gallery. Steampunk is win.

YES! My favorite pair. Really captures their essence =)

The title shows you have read some of the original book material "at this Stephen bent double and made a strange croaking noise" XD or something along those lines. I love O'Brian

Awesome! I'm up to Far Side of the World, but I'm trying to take it slow, because I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish the series. It'll be like withdrawal from a drug addiction xD

Maybe I'll focus on persuading Peter Weir to make a sequel...

It's suposed to be like that on the books ;) Love a comment Jack made on the first novel, where he seized Stephen (out of the water I think) and wondered why Stephen weighted too much for his body shape. Later we know that Stephen wears lead-soles shoes O_o
Glad you liked :D

Hee, thankee for the comment and fave ^^
I always try to mix the actors' looks in the movie and what the book says, even if the doctor's character didn't exactly look like Bettany's version... but really, it's a too great temptation =P

Oh... I never thought I'd find art of Jack and Stephen... :luffs to death:

Admittedly, I think our dear Doctor is far too handsome here, but I have the same complaint about the movie, otherwise great though it was. Part of the essence of the character is definitely here, especially the overall heartiness of Lucky Jack. :+fav:!

Weee! Glad you aprove my Jack ( His "roundness" is driving me mad! He's quite difficult for me to draw) It's true that Mr. Bettany is far too handsome for book!Stephen ( and far too tall! He surpassed Russell crowe and all) But when I see him acting I just forget all that and enjoy his marvelous acting, so I can't avoid being influenced by him :P Besides, many people are handsomer when laughing ( All except me, 'coz I like like an epileptic horse when laughing :XD: )
Still, glad that such a great artist likes my piccu  specially if he's a MnC fan! :glomp:

Yeah, he played Stephen very well -- Hollywood always prettifies characters from books anyway. Crowe was rather more handsome than Jack would have been, for instance.

I'm just glad to have found a few fellow MnC fans! None of my friends really likes that sort of thing, alas... I dragged a few to the movie but they just didn't get into it or appreciate how amazingly accurate it was to the details of the period. I've been obsessed with sailing ships (of the Napoleonic era in particular) and I've found almost no fault in it yet.

Hopefully someday I'll have time to draw some fanart of my own...
